Ausgrid is responsible for operating, maintaining, repairing and building our network of substations, power lines, underground cables and power poles, spanning 22,275 square kilometres across Sydney, the Central Coast and the Hunter Valley. We are continually upgrading the network to ensure we can keep providing a safe and reliable power supply to our customers now and well into the future.
As an authorised network operator, we work within community engagement and environmental planning requirements outlined in our consultation protocol and the NSW Code of Practice for Authorised Network Operators.
As construction work begins we may need to interrupt your power supply whilst we extend or maintain the network. We give 4-7 days written notice that power will be temporarily interrupted to allow crews to safely do the work.
Check here for a list of our Planned interruptions by suburb.
